BMW of Silver Spring is currently hiring a Genius for our very busy sales department.

Job Summary:

The BMW Genius is a customer service master who is trained in BWM’s advanced technology in order to educate customers on available products. BMW Geniuses are meant to inform, instruct and delight our customers throughout the sales process.

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Greet each customer promptly upon arrival at the dealership
  • Demonstrate features and functionality of on-board systems including radio, comfort and convenience, and safety
  • Sell available subscription services
  • Intervene in any customer dissatisfaction that arise due to technology
  • Participate in the delivery process of new and used vehicles trying to “wow” customers with “how to” information
  • Be the dealership “go to” person for all tech questions as related to the products represented at the dealership
  • Assist in all areas of the dealership including sales floor and the service area

Job Requirements


  • Valid Driver’s License, with 2 or fewer moving violations; candidates under 21 years of age must have 1 or fewer moving violations
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Associates degree or Bachelor's degree
  • Strong grasp of new automotive technology
  • 2 years of Retail/Direct to consumer sales experience
  • Bilingual skills is a preferred
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and demonstrate each feature of the vehicle
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends and/or be on-call
  • Self-Starter with proven ability to seek out new ways to build opportunities for the dealership and customer satisfaction
