Our MotorWorld Division is looking for a Parts Manager!

The Parts Manager strives to return a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory. Accomplishes objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying, and advertising

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff ensuring self and staff is franchise certified
  • Establish individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum inventory turns
  • Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence ensuring and following all factory returns programs
  • Develop and administer an aggressive wholesale parts program to produce profit
  • Ensure an adequate days supply to not exceed 45 days or franchise recommendation
  • Work in partnership with the Service Manager to ensure departments Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) goals are achieved at a high level

Job Requirements


  • Valid Driver’s License, with less than 2 points
  • 4- 10 years of professional experience in an automotive parts role or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds and/or ADP/CDK
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest, commissions, proportions, percentages etc.
  • Ability to define, research and solve problems
  • Self-Starter with proven ability to seek out new ways to build opportunities for the dealership and customer satisfaction
  • High level of initiative and ability to work in a team
  • Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software, internet proficiency and general mathematic skills
